For shops / AI2VINYL
My customer brought an AI wrap design. What should my shop do?
Use the concept to establish the customer’s direction, then scope the production-art work before promising print or install dates.
Set expectations without dismissing the concept
Explain that the picture is a visual direction, while the printing layout still needs accurate branding, dimensions and usable assets. Show one concrete issue, such as incorrect lettering or a design crossing a door opening, instead of arguing about whether AI is good or bad.
Separate artwork from the shop’s production quote
Identify who supplies design, printing and installation and who approves each stage. If your shop hires AI2VINYL for artwork, your shop remains the customer for that artwork scope. Your retail price and arrangement with the vehicle owner remain yours.
Send a complete brief once
Submit the concept, actual vehicle details, verified branding, deadline and required outputs. Include the end customer or brand name for context and your shop contact as the person managing the request. Add front, rear and side references together rather than splitting the brief across disconnected messages.
Choose the appropriate artwork payment plan
AI2VINYL quotes the artwork scope. A shop job may use the full design fee upfront, with no further artwork balance after proof approval, when that is the agreed plan. Other projects may use a deposit and later balance. The approved quote controls; a shop’s customer deposit does not automatically equal an AI2VINYL deposit.
