What files and information does a wrap printer need?
Agree on deliverables with the producing shop before final export. A preview image alone usually leaves important questions unanswered.
Agree on format, scale and layout
Ask the printer which PDF or source format it accepts, how the artwork should be scaled, and whether it wants complete layouts or prepared panels. Bleed, overlap and paneling depend on the job and workflow. Do not assume a generic export preset satisfies every printer.
Supply dependable brand assets
Provide verified wording, logos, contact details and brand color references. Resolve missing fonts and linked images according to the agreed handoff. Color appearance differs between screens, materials and printers; critical brand colors may require a physical sample or proof arranged with the shop.
Treat QR codes as functional content
Use a verified destination and an appropriate code with adequate contrast and clear space. Test the actual code rather than trusting a stylized AI-generated square. A code that scans on screen may still fail at its final size, on a curve or at an unsuitable viewing distance. Coordinate placement and testing with the shop.
Separate approval views from production delivery
A proof shows the customer what they are approving. The production handoff contains the agreed printing or cutting assets. Label versions clearly so an outdated proof is not printed by mistake. Keep the quote, approval and final file version connected to the same project.
